Gizmodi makes one kind of request on its own: the IP Lookup tool asks 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) for your public IP, and only when you tap the button. Everything else is calculated in this tab. Dashboard customizations are stored only when you turn on “Remember my customizations” — that writes one first-party cookie here, and the app has no server to read it.
